Parents in Hamtramck form a community PTA

In was a Thursday night at the People’s Services Center on Joseph Campu in the City of Hamtramck where a large number of Hamtramck residents, mostly of Yemeni American decent showed up to a meeting with the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) officers of Michigan. The meeting, the second for PTA in Michigan at Hamtramck was to establish a chapter for PTA at the city as well as chapters in the individual schools. Washington, DC_-(ENEWSPF)–Jan. 27, 2012 – 18th Street Deli Inc., a Hamtramck, Mich., establishment, is recalling approximately 118 pounds of julienne salad products with turkey, ham and hard-boiled eggs. The salads contain eggs that are the subject of an FDA recall due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Highland Park— While state officials decide whether to put the fiscally troubled Highland Park Schools under an emergency manager, observers see another likely fate: consolidation with a neighboring school system.

Snyder puts Highland Park a step away from financial manager

Highland Park— Gov. Rick Snyder on Thursday informed the Highland Park School District that he has determined a financial emergency exists in the district, bringing the state one step closer to possibly appointing an emergency manager.
